interleaved
I am green, all the greens
I am brown
I am strong, resonant with life
I am dry and crumbling
I smell of the world, a light dance of aroma, a deep hew
I am the right size
to capture the light
to channel the rain, to grow
to be eaten by wings yet to unfurl
to carry my light into the world
Freed from branches, twigs' ends, flying
fluttering, in air vibrating with life and light
carried by the world's wind, I fly
I slowly fall
lifted again
filled with and made from sun's light
but still falling finally
to gather, to all gather
together scrunched, tunnelled, blown
I become mulch and feed the world
