Dogs trapped locked
onto multistorey conflagration
yet some (a few)
escaped
survived
emerged alive to … live
trauma and fear
the rest of their time
Little thought or word
for them as trapped them there
without sprinklers
they gaily spent on
luxury numbed emptiness
before the pyre
smoking ruin
still broken tooth there
Westway echo arena driveby
silenced and invisible now
… just drive on
